Delete your Daily Grace account
You can delete your Daily Grace account and its data from inside the app at any time. You do not need to email us and you do not need to ask permission. This page describes exactly what the app does.
Deletion is permanent. Your journey, your level, your collections and your prayer journal all go with the account, and none of it can be restored afterwards. If you only want to stop being charged, cancel the subscription instead — see Cancelling your subscription below.
Delete from inside the app
- Open Daily Grace and tap the right-most icon in the bottom tab bar to open your profile.
- In the settings list, tap General. This opens General Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account, below Sign Out.
- Confirm at the warning that the action is permanent.
- Choose a reason for leaving — Not using it, Found Alternative or Other.
- Confirm it is you. If you signed up with an email address and password, you re-enter your password. If you signed in with Google or Apple, you re-authenticate with that provider instead.
- The app confirms the account is deleted and returns you to the welcome screen.
What is deleted
Deletion runs on our servers, not just on your phone, so it reaches records that are stored outside your account tree as well:
- Your entire user record and everything filed under it — profile, preferences and onboarding answers
- Your faith journey, level and completion history
- Your prayer journal entries, moods and any photos attached to them
- Your playlists, collections and saved devotions
- Your listening history and your reminders
- Every file you uploaded, removed from storage
- Subscription webhook records and any verification-code records tied to your account or your email address, so nothing carrying your email is left behind
- Your sign-in account itself, freeing the email address to be used again
What is kept
- The reason you gave for leaving, kept separately so we can understand why people go.
- Purchase records. The App Store and Google Play keep their own record of a purchase, and we may keep the minimum transaction and tax records the law requires. Neither contains your prayer journal or anything you wrote.
Cancelling your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so they have to be cancelled where they were bought — and they keep renewing until you do. Cancel first, then delete.
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Daily Grace → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Daily Grace → Cancel subscription.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. As set out in our Terms of Service, we do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
If you cannot get into the app
If you have lost access to your account and cannot complete the steps above, email hello@apparentgroup.co from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you a question only you could answer before we act, so that nobody else can delete your account.
